Background
As an accomplished violinist, Whitnea had to find another route for her marching band career. She got her start in Color Guard as a student of Bear Creek HS in Lakewood, CO. She went on to perform at multiple WGI World Class Championships at Opus X Winterguard. In addition to her numerous talents, Whitnea studied dance at University of Colorado Boulder and is also a graduate of the Art Institute of San Diego.
Whitnea's multitalented background has allowed her to create guard repertoire compatible and complimentary with marching bands around Colorado. Her contributions to ensembles have been noticed by directors around the state, and she is highly sought-after caption head.
Accomplishments
Whitnea has taught at several award-winning programs of various sizes across the Colorado Front Range, including the Classical Academy (2A), Littleton HS (4A), and Pine Creek HS (5A). Her contributions have led her guard's programs to 2 CBA State Championships, and 1 Second-Place Finish. In addition to her experience on the podium, her programs have placed as CBA finalists numerous times and have won several High Color Guard awards.
